Shot a nice little project to promote motorcycle safety that’s now in the market. We were asked to create visuals that illustrated the idea that a rider’s relationship with a motorbike is like a marriage, and sometimes needs tender loving care to keep it on track. The purpose is to promote driver re-training courses for middle-aged riders returning to a motorbike after a long period off the bike.
We were blessed with some really nice bikes and styling on the shoot, and our human talent did a fantastic job with his 2 wheeled co-stars.
Ride safe everyone!
Spent a nice morning on the beach for Tourism Australia via P’s in a Pod. This shoot was on a few month weather hold to get a classic Gold Coast cloudless sky, and true to Murphy’s Law, it rained and rained. Finally one winter morning, the talent braved 3 degrees and a 4am call-time and it all came together.
Recently worked alongside TV production group The Producers and director Tristian Houghton to produce images to support the Red Card campaign for Queensland Police. There’s more about the campaign on mUmBRELLA
Everyone look out for each other out there, and stay safe 🙂

I was on Stradbroke Island not long ago shooting an advertising project. Walking back to the car I saw these junior Surf Lifesavers walking on the beach on patrol. The colours of their uniforms and the perfect white sand of Stradbroke Island just punched me in the face! Luckily I was holding a medium format camera. I don’t even recall exposing I just lifted it, waited a second for them to walk into position on my frame and snapped! This shot really spells out summer in Australia for me. I wound up getting an honorable mention for it at the 2013 International Photography awards. Happy Dayz
I recently worked with Jono Drapes and Simon Buutveld at Junior in creating some images for the City of Gold Coast to launch the Gold Coast Full Stop campaign.
We set out to make scenes that typify life in the city, from the hinterland to the ocean. It was personally special for me to be involved as I call the Coast home and have been able to watch it grow and develop into a great place to live.
You can read what B&T had to say about this campaign here
Thanks to the City Council and all the talent, as well as everyone at Junior plus the team of Michelle, Natasha, Kat, Nicole and Josh who helped pull this project together. Retouching was by the amazing Justin Overell
